Beetal, Teddy and Kamori — picking the right goat and keeping the herd productive.
Breeds
- Beetal: dual purpose, good milk and meat, adapts widely
- Teddy: small, prolific breeder, popular for quick fattening
- Kamori: Sindh milk breed, striking looks, higher market value
Housing
Allow 1–1.5 m² per adult, dry raised floor, good airflow but no direct draught. Keep kids separate at night.
Feeding
Green fodder plus tree leaves, a mineral block always available, and concentrate for pregnant or lactating does.
Health
PPR vaccination annually, deworming every 3 months, hoof trimming twice a year.
